An Astrolabe surfaces...

and led me to many "places"... giggles - it's what I call "Astro-life"....

Whatever surfaces into our lives and awareness, is something we're ready for (if we agree or not)....

An Article in Space.com caught my attention – of course…

The article states, that it’s most likely that the Astrolabe found, might date from the late 11th century and might have been crafted in Spain. In that time and that region, it was common for Scientists of various origins joined forces…

Astrolabes were used as a kind of “clock”, planetary or astronomical and astrological studies etc.

In ancient times, people have assigned the deities and planets not only to days but also to the course of a day, which gave the hours a special “energetic meaning” with their dos and don’ts…

We often notice this, as like feeling different “needs” at different times or parts of the day and also do different things… so, are in this sense "clock bound"...

I guess we all also have experienced times, when we felt like “beyond space and time”…

Therefore, we all know “both sides”. Even though, we do not use deities or planets for the description of time, we still have our “number system” and are pretty bound to it…

I think everyone has heard of the Mayan calendar and knows, that there are also other, bigger clocks running… not only on Earth but also within the Solar system and the solar system within the galaxy etc. …

It’s part of why I use Heliocentric view – there’s the orientation to the galactic clock and to me helpful in the learning and understanding of the greater currents and the possible practical integration of the “information” …

I find this most matching for the current Astrology – not only do we have the planet of “Science and Technology” (Uranus) being joined by the “enhancer” and “higher viewpoint” planet Jupiter but also do we have authority aspects involved and furthermore the “masculine and feminine principles” of Venus and Mars are synchronizing with Pluto the Transformer…

Mercury got also a say in the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction and as Mercury is about communication (also mind chatter), and collaboration, you might even more now understand, why this article caught my eyes…

Giggles – besides – Mercury and Earth form a triangular conjunction geometry 😉, which represents one of the basic building blocks, and according ancient depiction the “fire” …

To come back to the theme of time …

Maybe you remember the March 2024 update poste, within which I have talked about the Vesica as well as about the Venus – Mars opposition conjunction geometry…

The Vesica Piscis is connected to the trinity through the 1+1=3 and the center or 3 that is created does form an “almond” or it can also be looked at as an Octagon from a specific view point and that in itself does have a direct connection to time, by the correlation to the path of light… more about the Octagon in my Astro-life post HERE:

The “Three” as a stable, centered, “original” form seems also to be described in quantum physics and their mechanics… a state of “rest or equilibrium” everything wants to fall back to…

The Vesica provides the basis out of which the seed of life and many or maybe all platonic solids can be drawn from…

What I also feel important about the Vesica is the “middle” to be seen not only as the “centered self” but also as a “shared” part or a “merging” … which does include the themes of culture, society etc. as in “shared reality” or something we agree onto etc. …

Last month I wrote about the Saturn – Eris cycle's last 45° (octagonal) and used the word “Allowing” in the title… Here the link https://www.faempowerment.com/post/allowing

I think, it’s a word, that applies to their whole last square cycle-part as well as the octagonal 45° angle…

I have observed, that many people have a problem to “receive”, yet less with “giving” … Commonly “receiving” is viewed as more “feminine”, while “giving” more masculine – from the perspective of a cycle, one feeds the other like in an ouroboros snake symbol… The Ouroboros relates also to equatorial energies as well as in certain times perceived as the Zodiac (sign based not constellation based, because the constellations have "caps" the signs not - yet, do not judge either as good or bad, signs do have their useful function too).  

Hesiod did state in one of his writings (ca. 8th Century BC), that the invention of women was the start of the downfall...

Seems a strange statement and I don’t know, whether it’s meant to say that there have been times, when people were not as gender-separated in physical form (just as we also see angels as “genderless” or with mixed attributes) or at least not in the perception of “worth” or psychology etc. .. or even something I can't think about...

The very ancient stories about Adam, Eve and his former “wife” Lilith is another clue that there was some kind of happening, that does still influence the perception of “women and man”…

Lilith the “bad” one left Adam as he "refused equality", and then Adam requested his mostly “following, agreeing” wife Eve until she then “tempted” him with the famous apple (apples are by the way a symbol of the goddess Eris) and they were cast out of paradise… (which isn't a punishment but an effect)...

Poor Adam really had “bad luck” with his wives… yet, what deeper meaning might be hidden within this story?? – Probably many layers and maybe even some particle-physics, or other physical (not necessarily on the visible plane only) “laws”/mechanics…

There's yet one layer, I find particularly interesting - if we think of Adam not as a "man" in the sense of a gender based Human, but as the "separated self" then we may see in the whole story a very different thread...

As I said further up, Venus and Mars are “assigned” as representing the feminine and masculine energies. Both also include themes of sensuality and sexuality…   

Yet, it does both not enough to “reduce them like this.

Venus talks a lot about our value-system, what we perceive as beautiful, artistic etc. (sometimes shortened as the heart) – Mars represents action, to get something done, leadership attributes, protective and more outwards energy… 

Whenever I want to know more about planets, I go and research their conjunctions to see their interaction, their geometry… study their orbital points and if they have a quite high inclination, also their orbits… and if possible, their discovery charts, giggles, of course not possible with Venus and Mars but we have a lot of mythology as “recordings”, yet they do need some decoding, just as with Hesiod, - some “translation insecurities” remain…

So, I did with Venus and Mars.

As you can see in the first drawing – there are roughly “oppositions” formed (surprised!?, lol) and in the second one you can see one full “cycle around”.

They meet roughly every 11 months and such a full “star” takes them roughly 32 years for 36-37 conjunctions.

What is also interesting is, that the direction of the “star forming” goes in the opposite direction of the planetary movement – which is often also called the “evolutionary” direction, as it’s the direction of precession!!!

If we now take the Two as feminine and masculine or as the “heart” and the “action and leadership” as opposites, it might be easier to understand with the latter, that we all hold these aspects within…  

Venus as the heart contains (also actually physically) a specific type of neurons, which are communicating and may contain memory as well… When we now (men or women) have gone through an experience (good or bad), we react in a certain way and store “programs”, but besides the "centers" in the brain that control those programs, there's also storage of feelings in the "heart space" and it does affect our value-system...

Just as when we for example can literally feel "a stone fell off the heart", when something we were worrying about is solved...

This “principle” is also true on a bigger scale as in families, groups, societies etc. where we see these often as “ideals” or “box thinking”…

In this sense, our “system” works perfectly well – it’s just that we have to “take the manual out of the closet” and start "experimenting"...

Remember – opposites are just different “degrees” of the same “axis” 😉 and asks for “awareness”, to see something and to integrate…

I think, all the mythology does not only show us the “psychology and mechanics” we hold within but also an actual planetary story…

Scientists / Astronomers have found out, that there were many “collisions”, changes of positions, and “cast outs” and immigrations taking place a long time ago.

That means, that there were pretty chaotic times – yet, as everything is constantly moving and changing position also in the bigger scale, the energies are still changing constantly.

Besides, the very outer planets with “extreme orbits” of inclination and/or duration do cause a shift in the “balance” so to speak and then we also have “visitors” from “wherever” in the form of comets…

You may wonder, how this can affect us, when we're actually quite far away...

First of all, there are energetics that are not bond to space and time - but even if we think in a linear time, then we can understand things affect us, especially now that we can see "light" that has been travelling at that speed for billions of years... doesn't that change something... furthermore...

Imagine a calm lake and observe little light insects touching the surface of the water – it creates waves and they spread out in the same way as a stone thrown into the lake would… yet, the insect will fly off, whereas the stone will sink down…

As a principle this is not only applicable to our solar system, the galaxies and universes at large, but also to our very own system… which includes our thoughts, how we define something (ourselves included), emotions and so on… we make "waves" into the vast space we perceive as "thin air"...

Another interesting, directly experienceable fact is, that when we can actually observe our actions as well as our hearts and thoughts, "who's" the observer – might be we’re either of those but “have” them…

When it comes to space and time, there's also a whole lot to find out and I for sure know, that it's a concept or construct of the physical realm, that we have just not "decoded" fully yet... but more about these things another time...
