Astro-life “discoveries”: From super Earth to sand rain to…

Updated: Jul 28

Since technical advances made it possible, Scientists are searching for planets and “earth like planets” in various star systems.

To explain something, to make it understandable to give it words, we Humans use something we “know” as a comparison for measurement …  that’s the same in Astronomy and that’s how we name something – we’re reminded of something known / familiar with, when looking at the clouds, or very far distant nebulae or whatever…

Stars are compared with our Sun, planets with “our” planets etc. – yet, we’re now in times we also know, that we have to be open to other possibilities. We know, that we “don’t know” – so there can be stars and planets very different to our system and the same is true for life…

That’s why in scientific articles it says “life as we know it” – usually within the context of “can’t exist there”. This of course opens the discussion of how much we actually “know” about “life” … maybe it’s not such a “fixed” idea as we like to think, because we feel safe to the “concept of life” we have been living with for so long…

When taking this thought even a bit further, I would say, “life” exist everywhere and in everything – because, atoms are making every matter and in this sense life, yet, there are energies (waves and particles etc.) x times smaller and less “detectable” than even subatomic particles, so, in this sense, there’s life everywhere, kind of “infinite and unstoppable” …. Is everything “conscious” the same way we are?? Giggles, maybe “related” in a similar way as the “matter” – yet, how conscious are we actually?? …

In the Chinese “I Ging”, there’s talk about the observation, that we Humans do create individually a kind of “comparison ruler”, a measurement tool and with that, we set a “zero point”, a “neutral zone” in some ways … yet, that “zero point” might at times shift a bit, as a person is living on …

Interesting isn’t it – well – over the millennia, for sure, the “zero point” of the global consciousness or societies, has shifted and brought forth different manifestations…

In this article from space. com (here the link): an “earth like” planet discovered in the star system of “82 Eridani” is introduced – several planets are orbiting in the system and as this star is located not far from our Sun, they’re all neighbors of ours…

The constellation Eridanus – the river of life – is quite a long one, covering the southern hemisphere. It starts just south of Rigel, the alpha star of the constellation Orion and “flows” down to its delta south of Aquarius. Yet, for a long while the “end” of the river was marked with another star than nowadays as the Greek astronomers were just simply not able to see the very southern stars, we’re now able to see or communicate about…

Just as borders between countries have changed over time, so did the borders or ideas about the constellations.

The Universe is full of very different worlds, and that I find fascinating – see below – a place where it does “rain” sand – well, that we can “wash” ourselves with sand and that it can have “cooling” or insulating properties, is at least something we can “relate” to …

This sandy planet is called YSES-2b orbiting it’s star YSES-1 – the whole system is located within the “borders” of the constellation Musca (the fly) and roughly 300 light years away, so quite a bit further away than 82 Eridani.

The star is much younger than our Sun, yet, roughly shows the same size and mass by being a bit hotter (younger) and therefore a bit more luminous. YSES-1 is considered to be in a “pre-main sequence” state of evolution, which is shown by its weak Hydrogen lines in its spectroscopy (the unique light signature of elements – visible and invisible light).

Now – of course – this is again a comparison with the Sun and how we consider or conceptualize star evolution – yet, Hydrogen (not water!!) is the first “building block” created in this Universe and one could say, just as most babies grow up on milk, stars do on Hydrogen and fusing it into Helium.

Yet, stars have been born themselves and carry their “placenta” around with them, and with that a variety of elements.

Most planets though, form out of the “leftovers” concentrated in a so called “proto planetary disc” around the newly born star. Yet, that’s not the only way they can form or be in a system. During the formation time of a star, the environment is a bit chaotic and “messy” as the star itself isn’t yet “stable” and fusing hydrogen. This can bring young planets to collide or being ejected out of the system or to “exchange position” etc. – I find it interesting, how this could actually be mirrored in “creation mythology” in various cultures.

Planets that were “ejected” are then “free floating” also called “rogue planets” – yet, sometimes rogue planets were born similar to stars without accumulating enough mass to become a star and these are sometimes also called “sub brown dwarfs” …

What I find fascinating within this young system is, that some of the “planets” might actually be not planets but so called “brown dwarfs”.

The current understanding of “brown dwarfs” is one of being “failed stars”, which I personally find ridiculous, as nothing in the Universe is a “failure”. Brown dwarfs are much more massive than planets and have a bit a different spectroscopy (the unique light signature of elements) but also different to “normal stars” – are they a distinct separate “population” within the galaxy or universe or are they in a “transitional state” and if so, from where to where and only in one direction or two???

As this is a young system, we might be able to observe what will happen over time – which members will remain, how will they “grow and evolve” …. Fascinating…

There are so many discoveries and it seems to me, that they constantly bring the challenge of how to integrate them into existing “concepts” or if they might in this sense, be the challenge that brings us into accepting new models or concepts.

Maybe this is exactly how the current astrology works – many of the charts in their individuality, do hold this underlaying energy and therefore, that “challenge” is in this sense experienced in all the various aspects of life… yet, we also see our constant quest to have an “anchor” or such a Zero point, that holds the stability and safety from where we can explore…

When I came across the constellation Musca here, I had to admit, I don’t know much about it and as things happen never “alone”, I also struggled over Theta Muscae.

I find this especially interesting because we had the “brown dwarfs” or massive planets that orbit a young “dwarf star”, whereas the Theta Muscae system represents just the “opposite”.

Theta Muscae contains a so-called Wolf-Rayet star, which are among the most massive stars known so far – these stars are “evolved” and in this sense at the end of their “star life”, which they most likely have started as O type stars, to then end in a supernova or even a black hole.

Theta Muscae furthermore contains a massive white O-type main sequence star, that is in a binary relationship with the Wolf-Rayet star and another companion a bit further away, which is a blueish very luminous supergiant star.

A bit further out, a 4th star is part of the system and that’s another white O-type star in the “giant phase”.

These are all extremely luminous stars – together they are about 1 million times as luminous as our Sun and the Wolf-Rayet star does radiate very strong winds and together with the winds from the close O-type main sequence star, builds like a “shock front”, which produces X-rays.

Interestingly O-type stars do evolve very fast, as they’re so massive and luminous, that they go through their resources fast and for that, it’s I guess pretty good for us, they’re also mostly found at the either “outer” parts of the galaxy or near the galactic center. Wolf-Rayet stars provide a lot of “heavy elements” for the nourishment not only of one system but vast areas …

I personally think, their locations are well chosen, as they not only contribute to the growth of the whole galaxy but same time to help “sustain” the more “bulk area” of the galaxy.

Just as there are rogue planets, there are also rogue stars. The current concept of their origins is, that they could have been “ejected” during the merging of two or more galaxies or when a binary star system is “separated” through the “forces” of a black hole. Yet, it’s also possible that through the extreme energies released when a massive star as a Wolf Rayet star goes supernova, especially when such a Wolf Rayet star was within a multiple star system.

Maybe, speculatively and theoretically, one of the stars of the Theta Muscae system will one day be an intergalactic traveler free of bondage and who knows, to what and where that could lead to….

I consciously chose Astrology and/or subconscious resonance with it, drew Astrology to me as one of the many possible path to take… it gives me the freedom, to explore various topics and occurrences from various angles and to even create new “synapses”, associations, correlations.

In all of this said, I see the connection to the theme of “nothing is wasted” and holds potential and is in one way or another “serving” the hole.

Each of us, got the potential to go “rogue” in one way or another – we might explore a topic or a path outside of the “current narrative” for our own curiosity but same time “nourishing” with the new “ideas or inspiration” back into the collective. Whereas within other fields of life, we might go more with what is “acceptable”, keeping a “balance” for ourselves…

It can be, that some people go much further beyond than others, even become “stars / celebrities” in one form or another to leave behind a “legacy” nourishing from beyond time and space…

We though also see, that those who stay more “local” are a part of that specific environment and are content with that being in more “direct community”, serving and enjoying this part of life.

There’s no “better or worse” within this, there’s possibility and choice in relation to the very own resonance.

Those who go beyond because of whatever kind of happenings, are “ready” to be there and might not have been by their own will ready to “leave” – so catalyst events bringing us back into resonance.

In this sense, I see the harmony at play, an always unfolding “truth” based on the very own inner core despite and beyond words of preferences based on preferences, “addictions” or fears.

Much Love to you all,

Fran
