A new Moon – a new lunar month but also a new “Capricorn lunar cycle” starts… and as stated above a little “special” for the people in the time zone ca. Here in Asia we will have 2 new Moons in May 2022… on the 1st of May and the 30st of May…. This phenomena only exists because of our current calendar but within that it may suggest a “turning point” in some ways….
This upcoming New Moon happens with the Sun and Moon at 17°1’37” Capricorn and Earth same degrees Cancer – furthermore the Sun and Moon are starting their “travel” over Saturn at 20° Capricorn, which also means Earth in opposition…. Involved with the Sun and Moon are the stars Armus and Dorsum of Capricorn – it’s an area that promises change as here the “overlap” of the constellation Aquarius starts… so it marks a change of energy, it’s a bit more open, a bit more “sharing” versus the more “solitary/secret” earlier part of Capricorn….
This degree on which the Sun, Moon and Earth stands is “special” because it’s also at the degrees of Neptune’s nodal axis (Northnode Cancer – Southnode Capricorn) and Venus Aphelion (Capricorn) and Perihelion (Cancer)… therefore, we can’t just look at the new Moon itself but also need to include Venus and Neptune who work together…
It means that Venus’ influence is very high with Earth’s themes (roots, ground, home, intention etc.) but her “intention point” in Capricorn radiates out by the Sun’s and Moon’s themes but same time, Venus is “influenced” strongly by Neptune’s path of action… Yeah, it seems pretty obvious when we think about their planetary themes: Venus the “heart”, beauty, values and so on and Neptune the “spiritual”, mystic, gaining clarity etc… Cancer symbolizes very emotional, inner themes but is also very “transformational”, whereas on the Capricorn side this is put into practicality including plans, practice, focus, organization etc. … On the Cancer (more personal) – Capricorn (more public) axis we “breed” out ideas/ information we discern what is “useful” and what not and we store information but also retrieve it… BUT we need to feel “safe” in order to do so, that’s why sometimes “cocooning”/solitude etc. is needed here on this axis but then there comes that “turning point” when we feel it’s ok, we can come out of this “safety net” and start to navigate this ship into the direction we want it to go… This axis is of “cardinal” energy, therefore “leading”/active first in the “inside” and to the outside, which will become more and more the closer we come to the cusps (Leo – Aquarius)… It’s like “think/feel before you act” kind of energy but on a very deep level…. There’s more “help” with this all as also Pallas’ Perihelion in Cancer and Aphelion in Capricorn helps to find really creative, innovative solutions or at least the ideas for them – this axis lays a little earlier than Venus’ at 14°33’…
So we can really now “put into practicality” what we did “breed out” but same time we also see what already is from the past – every thing there is in the world had its cause before – obviously that’s why a purpose is seen in everything existing and if we look deeper we can even make out the intention…
We can't change a cause but we can give the effect before it's "birthed" a different direction and with that transform the effect and later in the cycle we can change... Capricorn energy is that visible that gives deep insights and the chance to change something because we understand the "cause"/origin.
When knowing this, we can also check back with ourselves and use Neptune as well as Venus (spiritual and the heart) to gain information about our path about what we want and where we want to go and make, if necessary the needed adjustments….
Venus stands at 1°6’ sid. Leo (heliocentric) and 15°56’ Sagittarius (geocentric and in conjunction here with Vesta) – the message here is, to live/share the beauty and values without fear, in integrity according the own heart but also to listen to the “higher guidance and ideals and truths” and to follow the resulting devotion/passion…
Neptune stands in late Aquarius in both charts – an area that wants to bring “together” but also to prepare on all levels/realms for that goal – if we want to become “one” (integration of spirit, soul and body) we need to prepare on all dimensions….
The lunar Northnode in Taurus and Southnode in Scorpio at 3°25’42” is giving further emphasis to this “mirroring” attribute I talked about – it’s the area under Perseus, the hero and on the other side the “claws of the Scorpion”… so, if we want to get our “freedom”/rights we need to “fight” for it in some ways, action is asked for but wisely because we know about the cause and effect right… We feel that need of wanting to be “free” but to what price??
Saturn at 20° Capricorn wants us to grow up, to mature our “structures” on all realms – to mature also means to take responsibility… in an area of Capricorn that emphasis on sharing of information (in whatever form and way) and their “storage” (books, libraries, cloud storage, DNA etc.) but also a kind of “observer”/witnessing energy… it’s also a bit like finding the own ways, the “loopholes” and gray-zones (here we need to be extra cautious not to go against the very own values and ideals!!)…
As I said in the beginning, it’s a lunar cycle and right now this theme will be very prominent for the lunar month but in the longer term will be “worked” on until the next Capricorn new Moon next year and will be at “culmination/opposition” with the Capricorn Full Moon on 12th of August 2022, which will include Saturn again 😉.
